Xiaomi Mijia Garment Steamer 2 launches at a reduced price

Xiaomi has opened pre-orders for the Mijia Garment Steamer 2 clothing steamer through its Youpin platform. During the crowdfunding campaign, it is priced at 509 yuan (US$74), before rising to US$86 afterwards.

Mijia Garment Steamer 2 steam performance and heating

The Mijia Garment Steamer 2 delivers steam at 120 g/min. It uses a 500 kPa electromagnetic pump and offers a spray range of up to 150 cm.

A dual-heating arrangement is used, with separate boilers for the main unit and the iron. The appliance reaches operating temperature in 65 seconds.

Fabric modes and ironing panel

Xiaomi has included six dedicated ironing settings: cotton at 145°C, silk at 110°C, synthetic fibres at 125°C, linen at 160°C, blended fabrics at 115°C, and wool at 130°C. The device also features a temperature-control system.

The Mijia Garment Steamer 2 has an 8.75-inch ceramic-coated ironing panel. Depending on the fabric type, its water tank can provide enough capacity to iron up to 15 garments.

Xiaomi states that the steamer provides 99.99% sterilisation and completely eliminates mites.
