Xiaomi has unveiled the Mijia Ironing Machine 2, a new steam ironing station for the home. The device has already appeared on Youpin, with its crowdfunding campaign due to begin on 6 April. The new model is priced at $90, or $75 for campaign participants.

The Mijia Ironing Machine 2 features a steam ironing system and, according to Xiaomi, is ready to use just 65 seconds after being switched on. Its steam output reaches 120 g/min, while the electromagnetic pump delivers 500 kPa of pressure, which is intended to smooth fabric more effectively.

Built-in display and ironing modes

A colour display lets users switch quickly between six dedicated ironing modes. A transparent indicator also makes it possible to check the water level at a glance.

Xiaomi says that one tank of water is sufficient to iron up to 15 garments in a single session.

Xiaomi also unveiled very affordable refrigerators today, a budget washing machine with a 10 kg laundry capacity, and smart curtains with separate controls for their left- and right-hand sections.
