Xiaomi portable chargers to meet the new national standard
It will take effect on 1 April 2027
Xiaomi has officially confirmed that, following the adoption of a new national standard for portable chargers, it plans to launch six upgraded devices that will fully comply with every requirement of the new standard.
Five of the six forthcoming products will include integrated cables, while the remaining model will be a slimmer device. The mandatory national standard, Safety Technical Specifications for Mobile Portable Chargers, was published on 3 April 2026 and will come into force on 1 April 2027.
Xiaomi 2026 portable charger safety and charging features
According to Xiaomi’s official information, the 2026 version uses an entirely new safety battery cell that has passed 15 new national-standard tests. It features a next-generation battery and 12 protection systems.
In addition, the 2026 version introduces intelligent management for reading battery-status information. Its stand can be adjusted freely and attached using either magnets or a cable.
The new chargers support 33 W wired output, 15 W wireless output and 30 W input. They can also charge up to three devices at the same time.
