Xiaomi Mijia District 3 Washing Machine Pro Drum 10kg launches in China

Voice control, “super electrolysis” and over-the-air updates

Xiaomi has begun selling the Mijia District 3 Washing Machine Pro Drum 10kg Ice Crystal White in China. The new washing machine is now listed on JD.com, with an introductory price of 4,699 yuan ($690). With the government subsidy applied, the device costs 3,994 yuan ($585). Its distinguishing feature is its three drums: one large main drum and two smaller ones for underwear and socks.

Among the headline features, Xiaomi highlights its “super electrolysis” technology, which is designed to tackle stubborn stains, whiten fabrics and reduce the risk of colours transferring between garments.

The washing machine can be controlled through the proprietary app or the Xiao AI voice assistant. Once a wash cycle has finished, the system can automatically remind users to remove their laundry and trigger smart-home scenarios, including automated actions involving the drying system and lighting. The new model also supports over-the-air updates.
